Utilizing two primary brush types—steel brushes and Tynex® (abrasive nylon) brushes—each tailored for specific surface finishing tasks. Steel brushes, with a diameter of 190 mm, are ideal for aggressive material removal and deep grain structuring, providing a robust brushing action. Tynex® brushes, also measuring 190 mm in diameter, incorporate abrasive particles within nylon filaments, offering a gentler touch suitable for fine sanding, denibbing, and surface preparation.
This combination allows Felder machines to deliver versatile and precise surface treatments across various woodworking applications.
The height for both brushing aggregates is conveniently and precisely adjusted from 3 to 200 mm by means of a handwheel with read–off optics; the fine adjustment of the second aggregate can be adjusted separately.
The Felder Structura 40.02 is built for demanding surface finishing tasks, featuring a fixed infeed table height of 900 mm and a robust, web-structured continuous feed belt for smooth handling—even with heavy or oversized workpieces.
With a generous working width of 400 mm and an adjustable through-feed height ranging from 3 to 200 mm, it offers flexibility and precision, making it perfectly suited for a wide range of brushing and structuring applications.
